Here's What Our Patients Are Saying

"Myofascial trigger point therapy is one of the most advanced and effective disciplines for pain relief available to today's musician.  I strongly recommend MYO Pain Relief Center to my piano students and to my colleagues in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.  Whenever any strain, pain or muscle injury occurs, my first direction to them is to go to MYO.  I am so pleased to become aware of their work and have personally benefited from their treatments.  Not only do their hands bring immediate relief, but they teach self-care treatment to the patient for further improvement between visits."

“The theory is that if one muscle goes out of balance, then the rest of the muscles try to protect and accommodate.  This will make pain show up somewhere else…I had a bad back which had been recurring year after year.  Trigger point therapy at MYO Pain Relief Center fixed it.  It’s the only thing that fixed it."

"I had a shooting pain and numbness down my right arm to the thumb.  When I tried to lift my right arm, I could only go as high as my head, and my shoulder blade was popping out.  I was constantly leaning to the side and hunched over.  The MRI’s showed 2 bulging herniated discs putting pressure on my spine.  This was so painful that I had to take sick leave from my job as a heavy equipment mechanic.  My employer let me loose after I was off the job for 3 months.  Then I started another job, but they also let me go due to my condition.  When I went to the chiropractor, I felt really great for 2-3 hours.  Then the pain would come right back.  Cortisone injections and physical therapy only exacerbated my condition.  But myofascial trigger point therapy began working after the first treatment.  Thanks to MYO Pain Relief Center, I don't have to live with pain any more.  My chiropractor and orthopedic surgeon said 'no bending, stretching and stooping', but when when I came to MYO, I was told the complete opposite.  Correct stretching helped me to get better.  Now I can reach up and paint my ceilings.  There is an answer.  Don’t put up with pain.  If you are treated by MYO, you can get better."

"I hurt my shoulder throwing curve balls in little league.  By high school, I couldn’t pitch anymore so I switched to outfield.  But the pain in my shoulder was so intense that I eventually moved to first base.  When I had to throw the ball hard, the pain was so intense that I almost wished my arm would fall off.  I thought that something must be wrong with my shoulder joint and gave up trying to get relief.  My second problem was my hip.  I used to play tennis once a week, but stopped playing a year ago due to hip pain.  Getting up from the seated position was painful for the first few steps.  The pain was so intense that it felt like my leg was giving out.  It was a real scary kind of deep pain that I thought might be due to joint dysfunction.  After my first treatment at MYO Pain Relief Center, there was big improvement in both my shoulder and hip.  After five treatments, I became pain free which is amazing to me.  It’s been 25-30 years since I felt like this!  I’m throwing noticeably harder and without pain.  Last week, I played tennis for the first time in a year.  I’m serving the ball a little bit harder and certainly more accurately and without pain.  MYO is delivering the message to everyone that they don’t have to live with pain – that pain is not a natural part of the aging process."
